Visit Darjeeling

Darjeeling is very special to me in many ways, from my schooling days to my days of courthip, and finally marriage. Every visit to Darjeeling is a new experience for me. From the winding roads that lead up, to the valleys, hills and rivulets, its a new wonder everyday.
My days in St.Paul's School, Jalapahar from 1977 to 1989 were the best days of my life. From the morning bell to the lights out time, it was a real experience. My days of courtship with my fiancee, Daisy, who I married in 1994, were really memorable. My marriage was also held in Darjeeling, and everytime I go up to the hills to my in-laws during Pujas, the experience is rejuvenating.
Though settled in Siliguri, West Bengal, which is in the foothills of the himalayas, the Kanchenjunga scenery is really breathtaking.
I want to share my views with all those who really love Darjeeling. There are many new changes which I experienced in Darjeeling. The Big Ben of Darjeeling has started working, great kudos for the Darjeeling Municipality for it, though it sounds like any wall clock.
The new shopping complex with a Mulitplex at the old Rink compound is the icon of the gennext. It wound have been better if it was somewhere outside the main town, which could have eased the congestion of the town a bit.
